Gift of Art Around the World: International Art Correspondency

Pre-order a piece of original art, made and mailed to you from some far corner of the globe, by your International Art Correspondent, LQJ.

Purchase your "Art Correspondency" here, and Laura will create a piece of art for you on her travels in Russia, Japan, Australia, or Eastern Europe in the first half of 2015.  You will receive a postmarked package with a painting or illustration, made on site, depicting the details and atmosphere of daily life in far reaches.  Pieces will be small scale, about 5" x 7".  Laura will include a handwritten note about the place and the journey behind your unique piece.

For special commissions, including larger or more numerous correspondencies, or pieces based on specifically requested locations, contact Laura directly at lauraquincyjones@gmail.com.

When you receive your surprise piece in the mail, you can choose to add it to a virtual scrapbook of postmarked travel illustrations, and see others along the journey.

Additional correspondencies can be commissioned at any time, and paid electronically here.

Community Supported Art 2014

This is the brilliant farm-share / veggie-box model ... applied to art.  For CSArt 2014, nine local artists (including me) each created 50 small, unique pieces for our "shareholder" patrons. At an "Art Harvest" party in late September, shareholders each received nine terrific pieces of original art, and met the local artists they support.
My CSArt series, "Where We Live", is made up of 5"x5" watercolor "home-scapes" from Cambridge and Somerville. Each piece is a completely unique, hand-painted watercolor on one of five printed pen & ink scenes. See all 50 paintings here.  Real local spirit!
